I worked a half day and Patrick and I toured the area. First, we went to Siesta Key Beach. (above). It has the whitest sand of all the beaches here locally.
These 2 pictures are from Anna Maria Island Beach. We went there to watch the sunset. It was beautiful!

We had a great time! So much fun. We did a ton. I'm wiped! You guys will have a lot of fun here. We need to go to Myakka on Sunday when we're in Sarasota, you should see my pictures from there on the post above.
